2007 Wrap Up

Results of the 8th annual "After Thanksgiving Invitational Halibut Classic.
53 teams got together for the start in Mission Bay with the boundries being from the Mission Bay Jetty and all the way to Oceanside.  Although the weather was perfect the fishing proved to be tough with only 10 legal halibut being called in to tournament control.

Team Mattanza II

 Ed Seidlinger, Tom Moore, Rick Cardenas
 
Pictured above, Team Mattanza II with captain Rick Cardenas along with anglers Ed Seidlinger and Tom Moore struck gold as they hooked into two huge fish late in the day.  They ended up taking both 1st & 2nd with a 37.4lber taken by angler Tom Moore, and a 42lber taken by Ed Seidlinger.  Mattanza II who was only entered in one of the 4 side jackpots ended up taking home $1500 for 1st, $500 for second and an additional $1913 for the $50 side Jackpot which brought their total winnings to $3913.

Fish Fetish

 Derek Lyman, Amber Lyman, Bob Lyman
 
Team Fish Fetish captained by Bob Lyman with anglers Amber Lyman and Derek Lyman took 3rd Place.  Bob Lymans' 35.6lb halibut earned them $300 for 3rd plus an additional $2074 for covering the remaining $10, $20 & $30 side jackpots, which brought their total winnings to $2374.
